Low-Income Urban Aboriginal Housing a) Apartments - The Cariboo Friendship Society provides seventeen apartments in the main administration building. Of these apartments, two are designated handicapped and one is designated as supportive recovery. There are 11 one-bedrooms, 4 two bedrooms, and 2 bachelor suites. These apartments are available to low-moderate income urban Aboriginal individuals and families. (Subsidized by Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation) b) Detached Housing - The Society operates 38 two, three, and four bedroom units which provide low-moderate income rental to the urban Aboriginal community. (Subsidized by Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation) c) Townhouses - The Society operates two fourplex units which are available to low moderate income Aboriginal individuals and families. (Subsidized by Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation) Tenant Relations Coordinator: The Coordinator provides assistance through counseling to tenants for home maintenance, budgeting and referrals to other agencies; as well as processing applications for housing, recording statistics, and maintaining records on housing units.
