Choices for Youth is a program of the Cariboo Friendship Society
which is a nonprofit
organization. The Choices program provides youth, ages 13-24, the opportunity to gain access
to numerous activities and services which include:
- Computer and internet access for help with research for school
work or just for personal use
-Pool Tournaments for which we give out prizes such as hackey
sacks, toques, etc., and/or treats
-Board games such as MAD GAB, Twister, Pictionary, Scrabble, ect.
-Dinners, we make hamburgers, hotdogs, chili, floats, Chinese food, ect.

-Sista Talk Group meets every Thursday from 5:00pm till 7:00pm. Some
activities included in this girls night are making posters about yourself or how you
feel, talks on any topic that might be concerning you and anything you would like
to talk to girls about, hair dying, painting our nails, watching chick flicks,
and lots, lots more! Come out Thursdays and find out for yourself what Girls
Night is all about!!
The Choices program promotes making healthy lifestyle choices, information on
referrals, advocacy for youth ages 13-29, provide peer support for youth, give youth a voice, help them
to change the community that they live in, promote leadership and education, and empower
youth to make good
decisions.
The Choices for Youth program was created in 1998 and has
been going strong ever since.
